The wiring for the secondary air injection pump on the 993  (US models only) uses biodegradable wire insulation. Over time, this insulation deteriorates and can eventually expose the wiring, potentially resulting in a serious short circuit with all the consequences that may follow.

Every 993 owner should inspect this wiring preventively and replace it if necessary!

With our repair kit, this is a quick and straightforward job. The kit includes new, very high-quality wiring, a new 2-pin connector, and a new grommet.

All you need to do is solder the new wires directly to the pump motor, and the problem is permanently resolved.
